A really nice town. I've never heard of it until today and I also didn't know there is a 21,000 acre wildlife management area up here. I'm Going to add this town as a possible place to retire too because the rats don't race there at all.

Your 45 minutes from every thing, there. That is where the Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride ends every year. There will be 100k motorcycles descend on that little town on that day, every year.

Love that management area. Used to hunt the manbone section off of vertical road. Also used to hunt panther creek I think it was.

Yep, beautiful place. I took this a couple years back when I was working on Quail covey counts.

You were right down the road from us. We live in Muscle Shoals. I hunted Waterloo last weekend for the last gun hunt and found some really good sign. Worth a shot next year.

It is what it is.

Hunting TN, AL, KY, and IL.

Figured some of you guys would chime in on that one. Vertical road is named that because it is straight up and muddy. Scary as crap in a 2 wheel drive. Man Bone is an actual section of the management area. Lots of old stories about how it got the name.

Waterloo is probably my most favorite potential retirement spot. Was a member of Northwest Alabama Bowhunters before it got rolled into the WMA. Loved hunting that club and Manbone.

And crappie. I used to drift up Second Creek with a southerly wind and load 'em up. Caught my biggest crappie ever (and the biggest I've ever seen) there. I didn't have scales but had a tape measure and took a pic. 18" long

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

My wife and I have always been saltwater people but sometimes I rethink that. Especially when I'm working at Guntersville and places like I was at today.
