Question. We've just driven 3.5 hours across state to hunt the weekend. My daughter has just figured out she left her license at home. Obvious options are to either go get it, her not hunt, or go back and hunt there. Not so obvious question to you guys: what if my wife were to text her a picture of her license? I know this would not be legal, but do you think a warden would let it go?

find a walmart. They will re print the liscense for $2.

You might can download a PDF of it to your phone from the website (if that's where yo got it).

Find someone locally with a computer/printer and print another one from DCNR web site. Maybe a local store...

2nd option...go to local Walmart and purchase another. Cheaper than driving 3.5 hours back home.

They send you an email with the license in it. you can print another from it. Also, you can upload the license to your pass book on iPhone. However, I wonder about the legality of it as you are technically supposed to have the physical license on you.

I think they will take it easy on you, but its a gamble. I forgot mine on a managed hunt. The warden told me I could hunt, and if I killed a deer he would look in the system. If I was not there he would take me to jail.

You can also just pull it up on the Alabama Outdoor app. I left my license in my blind bag and had to do that when I killed my deer a few weeks ago. Asked for my name, DOB, DL#. My hunting license popped right up.

Be better off to go by and print it off somewhere. She'll have to have a place to write down a buck if she kills one.

Get someone at home to get the license, scan it into the computer and e-mail it to you. Then just print it off.
