That's a loaded question for some of these guys.

Here's my little trophy wall. Not as big as some, but I'm proud of them.

How many years have you been deer hunting top cat?

39 years. First one on that wall was killed in 1992. When I kill a bigger one I have to move one to my hunting room, wife will only let me have 13 on that wall. All from same basic area. If you start walking early enough you can get there and back by lunch time.

My paltry wall doubled in size this year! Still have a few more days left too. Shot the top right one in December of 2006, then the top left in January 2013. Bottom right was December 2014, bottom left January 2015. Hope the accelerated pace continues haha.

Big Game Hunter, I like the purple galinule( marsh hen) mount.

It's actually a common gallinule.

It makes a cool conversation piece.

BGH of all those mounts, the one that sticks out the most to me that makes me say wow, I really dig that, is the dark chocolate velvet caribou...that thing is fine! What the hell is that little tiny deer looking thing in front of the zebra? Did you shoot it with a bb gun?

I just picked up my biggest buck from my friend Will Foster out of Montgomery. I'll be taking it on its final journey home to south fl once season is over. I love the full sneak on a wide buck!!!! -





I'm a taxidermist and I enjoy having my friends in the industry mount my deer.

The little guy under the zebra is a steinbok and I shot it with a .257 wby.

The little guy under the leopard is a grey duiker and I shot it with a .223.

Thank you!! I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to kill that deer- best part is, my dad was with me and filmed it with his iPhone. He's a bow hunter, but neither of us wanted to sit in an open tree during the onset of that awesome snowstorm we got last year. We sat together in a shooting house and I cracked him!

That doe + buck mount is really sharp. I've always thought of mounting a doe - they are beautiful animals.

Big Game Hunter, where did you kill the Pronghorns. I have a savings account set up specifically to go hunt them once I can pay for it in full and get the time off work. I'd like some advice on where and when to go.

I've shot them in various areas in Wyoming and in Alberta.

Pronghorn is the cheapest western big game critter with the highest success rate there is. Plus they are lots of fun to hunt.

When you decide to go, feel free to contact me and I'll share what I know.

Just remember, the year you want to go, you'll have to apply for a tag in early spring.

Here's what you can't tell about that piece from the pic- the doe is the centerpiece. The buck is an accent. He doesnt even touch the wall. She mounts to the wall, and he is attached to her. It is really cool!!!
Yesterday I hunted with some friends in union springs, and I was asked to shoot a doe. There was however, one catch. There was a doe on the property I was not allowed to kill with a double white patch on her throat. I saw her. She was gorgeous!! That's the kind of doe you have mounted. They have something special planned for her next year- they just have to kill the right buck to put her with..
My advise is make sure you have a taxidermist that is very competent before you have a doe mounted. A bad doe mount will really look like a turd. There is no rack on top of her head to draw your eyes away from the problems....

Man some of you guys look like y'all got extra lumber inside the walls to hold these trophies up, and they all look great!!!

Getting my first one mounted this year, hope to start adding at least one each year beside him.

I got pictures of one almost identical in st. Clair county 2 years ago. Any chance he was killed close to lincoln

The one on the right was actually killed in Illinois. All the rest are Alabama deer. I wish I could find a trail cam pic of him. Where that beam buckles he actually had 4 kickers splinter out of it. At least ten inches worth. He was cool looking. Would like to get what he has broken off fixed but probably won't ever get around to it.

Where did you hunt at in Illinois? I've been contemplating a paid hunt up north.

Nice mounts guys.

My first rack buck, killed him when I was 16. And a few turkeys haha. Made the turkey plaques myself.




Deer on the top right was my very first bow buck, next one down is a 7 point that I killed two years ago that was covered in warts, and the one on the left I killed with my bow in pine level 3 years ago. I made that broadhead plaque that he's hanging on. Also a gray fox and otter that I trapped and a few sheds that I have picked up over the years.




Big euro mount on top I killed last November with my 6.8. The spike was my very first deer, killed him when I was 7 and begged my dad to shoulder mount it. Then the left skull is a deer that I shot and couldn't find at the end of the 2013-14 season and found him while chasing turkeys this year. And the right bottom skull is just a big one that I found while blood trailing another big deer that I arrowed this year and couldn't find.






And last but certainly not least, my biggest deer yet. My bow kill from last october!

Great looking mounts guys

WBM1 ...how wide did that second buck measure? I have a buck that I have pics of for the last 4 years on my property now that looks so similar as far as his width goes except he is a main frame 6 point(all he has ever been for the last 4 years). But this past year he added a drop tine but width wise he looks almost exactly like your buck. Awesome collection of mounts by the way!!!

I'm very proud of what I have, because with the exception of my first buck I killed all them with my bow. There's a couple euro mounts in my office that I don't have pics of but they're nothing special.

Artistic ( Charles ) just curious looking at your mounts compared to others the ears are in different places not the same direction alot of times one in front of the antler one behind , that definetely sets your mounts apart from others ( thought it was neat ) you do amazing work love the deer you did for me people look at it and say that is a beautiful mount and everyone wants to know who did it .

Look at the muscle tone in the neck compared to a lot of mounts too , that are just round

First 2 pictures are of the deer I killed at Bankhead last year just before the orange army was turned loose. Third picture is the first buck I killed with a bow. It was in Blount County, AL.

RR, that deer in the 1st pic on the right is very unique and different he qualifies close to the top in my book. You don't get to shoot many like that, if his left horn was like that he would be a boss for sho.
