Delta Dave's story prompted me to share mine. Definitely not a one up, his is worse... Long story short, take your left foot and put it in front of your right foot and repeat. When you come to a step up, make sure you put your foot on said step. And for crying out loud, watch where you are going or you might end up like this...  Broke the radial head up in/near the elbow. After seeing my orthopedic Dr, they actually cut me out of the cast so I wouldn't lose mobility in the elbow.

This thread is useless without x-rays! I forgot to take pictures and I am not sure what happened to them. I did it 9 pm on Sunday night so the ER did the X-raying on some kind of fancy little role around x-ray machine. I wasn't sticking out of the skin or anything.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear this. You really need to find those x-rays though. They can't be near as bad as yours! They said about 6 weeks in a sling and I should be good. That's not too bad. I messed mine up 4 weeks ago and I still have another 4 weeks in non-weight bearing cast. Then I get to move up to a walking boot for a month or more. Glad to hear that you'll be on the mend a bit sooner. I'm also happy to see it's not your right arm (assuming that you're right handed).
