I got a daughter that is about to turn 16 and want to make sure she can take care of herself in the event she has a breakdown or accident. I'm going to make sure she knows how to change a tire and where all those tools are as well make sure she keeps a battery pack in her car capable of jump starting if she needs it. I'm thinking about getting one of those flashlight tasers too. (Yes I know a gun would give the most protection but she wouldn't use it and would probably be more dangerous to herself than anything) Anything else you'd guys would want your lady to have with her if couldn't get there quickly to help?

Jug of water and a sleeping bag would be good.

Better tire iron that manufacturer provides, with a cheater bar for leverage. Some wheels can be really difficult to break the lugs on even for a guy.

2x12 1 foot block of wood for jack base for stability.

Flashlight (headlamp is even better for hands free work), rain poncho, pepper spray or that taser you mentioned.

although not married, i can chime in.
Knowing my girlfriend for over 7 years, ive always been super protective, even when we werent together. Also being from a family full of mechanics, i want her to have enough to get herself out of a hairy situation.

If her car has a spare, the proper tools to change it for sure.
If not, fix a flat at minimum.

I have a powerstation that will charge phones, laptops, as well as jumpstart a car that i keep in our vehicles. its much like this one.. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Multifunc...2019942239.html

jumper cables, pepper spray, extra cash and a blanket just in case.

Then of course, we both conceal carry daily so that isnt an issue but a taser is a good investment as well.

The best advice I can give is to make sure the vehicle is in top notch shape all of the time good tires, good battery, tuned up, maintenance kept up more so than your own car. I know you have done this already but make sure she knows to call you anytime she has car trouble no matter the time of day or night. As an example someone sees a young lady trying to change a tire and stops to help. If this person is legit fine. If he is a criminal just waiting for the opportunity to do mean things to the young lady.

Keep her off the road, we all know women can't drive! Hell, I can't nap in the car when my wife is behind the wheel, those damn ribs on the side of the road scare the chit outta me whenever I seem to doze off.

Seriously though, GPS and a Bluetooth radio so she isn't messing with her phone

Think about throwing in a day pack. With things if she had to spend the night on the side of the road.

Meant to include a key keeper/spare key mounted and hidden on outside. Can't believe nobody else mentioned that yet.

I think I would just pack water and snacks so she would be comfortable until I or whoever she called, can get there. Working on a car on the side of the road is more dangerous than sitting in the car even in a bad area. That said, I think the other ideas here are good if she knows how to fix it herself.

I would do pepper spray and the taser, along with the booster battery for the cell phone and a jumper box.

Some do, some don't....what's it gonna be?

A compact floor jack. Most of the jacks that come with the cars are junk.
