What if the only shot you have is straight from the rear? Pass of the shot or....???

Bang/flop. Killed my second one that way. Just like shooting pool. Its all about angles. Get the bullet to the vitals. My gun has no problem pushing a .30 caliber bullet thru ones a** and into his vitals. I wouldn't take that shot with a .243, but i would with my .300 win mag.

IF you shoot a controlled expansion bullet there is nothing wrong with that shot. I shoot Nosler Partitions and have killed several with that shot, usually DRT.

actually pulled this shot off more or less on accident. deer was lightly quarting but move at the lasf second, couldnt find bullet hole, lifted tail and thete was the blood. friends call it the alabama heart shot. bang, flop. insides were destroyed, guts looked like a bowl of chili,

I'm taking it but you need to shoot high up toward base of the tail. If you go low you will field dress him before he dies.
