Who's heading down for this last hunt? I'm back and forth on dragging the camper down and hunting the WMA next week.

If could take off, I'd go with ya. I've been once and really enjoyed it. I use to go every year and now it's every other or so. The last trip I pulled into the campground and the rear end fell out of my Jeep and we spent the time trying to figure how to get back home. I've had one chance at a good buck and the doe he was chasing ran straight at me and spooked and I never got a shot off.I like the change of scenery and flat ground!! I have to be careful or I'll get a lot farther away from the vehicle than I mean to. Those flatlanders got it made.

I crossed 2 hollars and hunted the slope of a steep hill overlooking a huge clear cut. There was tons of sign, but I didnt see a deer in 3 days hunting. It was blazin hot when we went. I was in January, but it hit the high 70's during mid day.
