I need some help from all the old codgers on here. This has been the worst deer season of my life. I seen 6 deer in bow season and haven't seen a deer since. I'm got some kinda aweful ju-ju and I need it gone! How do I get this monkey off my back. I've hunted the same ways I always have. Deer sign everywhere I hunt the wind and still can't find one. I mean even a blind dog finds a bone every once in a while.

That's the problem your neighbors got'em corned out the wahoo. When in Rome do as the Romans. Or find out where they're crossing your land to get to the corn and set up on it.

what you are doing stop doing it . hunt different stands , different times . remember deer will pattern you .

I love that every time some doesn't see deer people want to blame a neighbor and corn. Because deer never disappear otherwise.

I've tried it all except the corn. Y'all just have to trust me my neighbors ain't feeding corn. Neighbors land is Unhuntable. The only time we hunt at my house is January. No human pressure whatsoever and when we do hunt it is very carefully. It's got me stumped.

It's been a tough year for me. My boy killed 2 on opening weekend and we haven't seen a hair since then. I blame the bumper acorn crop this year. I think deer are feeding in the side of the mountains and not coming up on top.

Best thing I can recommend is to hunt somewhere with more deer.

Frankie, yes the deer I seen in bow season was on the refuge bow hunt and a small club I'm in. I have an idea as to why I'm not seein deer at the club. I'm sure there's more corn out around it than the grain bins have and a family member thinks he has to ride the roads every couple days to look for tracks. But these no reason why I shouldn't be seeing deer at my house. I have seen one deer on the roads going to work all year I leave right before daylight and drive through a lot of deer county.

If it makes you feel any better I've seen one deer in the last 5 hunts. I know several that are having a hard time. I'd head to South end of Skyline somewhere on this next hunt and hope for a chasing buck.
