Had spikes and at least one 2.5-3.5 yo chasing single does like crazy. at the same time, and right at dark, had a VERY mature buck come out and refresh a scrape and destroy a small tree, all while the younger bucks are chasing what appears to be hot does. What does this mean regarding the status of the rut? (by the way, I was hunting with iron sights and could see the mature buck clearly in my binos at 110 yds but could not see well enough with iron sights to get a shot.)
