I have hunted in Lowndes for the past six years at Camp Creek HC. We have an long established club (50+ years) that is well run and possesses a family atmosphere. We have a healthy herd that produces good bucks. We have a nice camp area that contains many fire pits where fellowship is enjoyed. Our annual meeting will occur in late February or early March and deposits are required at that time by present members to reserve a spot for next season. After that meeting number of openings will be known.

Buster when I hunted there (didn't have a camper and was a little far) they had something like 8-9k acres and maybe 40 members. You HAVE to have an ATV or SxS to hunt there as they don't allow trucks on the interior roads.

GOOD land and very good deer (150" was killed year after I left). Very nice folks for the most part (everybody I met, maybe they kept the ***holes hidden, lol) and very family friendly. Not cheap ($2k range?) but a very good and very old club on a stable lease. If I had a camper I might join again.

We have 7500 acres with around 40 members. As RobertD said club is full of good people with little to no drama. Club is managed by a board of directors and they resolve issues. Rules are well documented without surprises. Dues were $2100 last season.

I'm a 1st year member of CCHC as well. It's a well managed club with minimal problems. There are 45 members and I've seen more drama in a club with 5 members. Very family oriented. Lots of kids every weekend. Most of the old timers are just content to hunt and come back to the fire and spin tales, grill, and have a beverage. There are a several hard core deer hunters in the club and they kill some fine bucks.

My wife and I have a camper down there and we really like it. They have killed at least 3 wall hangers in the last 2 weeks down there. Dues are $2100 as Bama1966 and I think it's 7500 acres. Lot of cutover but there are a lot of SMZ's and mature pines too. They probably have 30+ shooting houses. Must have some sort of ATV to access the property as there are strict rules on no vehicles on club roads.

I didn't realize you joined Camp Creek Dr. B. I'll be down there Monday hunting with one of your members.

its actually about 6700 acres and there's over 40 members. Here are 2 i killed the past couple weeks. Its like any other place really.Hunt hard youll find good deer.We came from a place That 10 deer per square mile in Florida so you really had to hunt hard and play your cards right to shoot a good one.Up there Its the same principal you just gotta find the good ones.

Heres one i killed last year second week of bow season.
