OK, for lots of us this week is it.

What Hail Mary tricks have worked for you in past years? Why do you think they were successful?

I'd say going somewhere you or anybody else hasn't hunted all year.....you got nothing to lose.

There are no rainy days...

This^^^

I'll be hunting the 6th 7th and maybe the 8th. This will be right behind 4-5 hunters who spent a week always sitting in the same stands. wink

Get on a long road close to where you park and sit down. Have a few spots like this that always produce late season deer for the attentive

On these warmer days, take a turkey vest and a shotgun full of slugs. Get out at daylight and owl. Go sit down on a ridge, scratch in the leaves, and yelp. One is bound to walk within 40 yards of you. Works well in mid March. See if they're calendar is off. laugh

Close the gap by 50-75% from regular stand to bedding, get off on a deer trail that leads to food plots and sit 25 yards perpendicular on ground or stand up against tree. Grab a slug gun and move in the thick stuff. Sit on a crossover, road intersection from 10 am to 2 pm. Enter your property on foot by having a buddy drop you off at the perimeter and move in rather than the usual gate, lock, park, doors, and the walk to plot method.

If you don't do something drastically different then you won't see drastically different results, unless, you bet on "rut luck".

Lbnl, rally cap, tie double knot in left boot, leave zipper unzipped, put a $2 bill in left shirt pocket and a penny dated in birth year in your right boot...Hail Mary!!
