I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Remington you have every right to go to court and plead your case. I know, it's not like I got a ticket, but I've often wondered. I think hunting hogs would also apply. All use a rifle and hogs/coyote don't have a season. Would be hard to prove.

Funny thing is.......for some reason they think that not allowing the hunting of hogs & coyotes at night and with bait during deer season means that people won't abuse the privilege. I got a News Flash...... A guy that will shoot a deer at Night and over Bait does not give a crap what Season is in! LOL

we just know. Next question..... I realize a GW that has been in a county for a while knows for the most part who to watch. But in my area (1 in my county, 1 in the next county) we have 2 GW's with less than a year experience. They are learning. I have thought the same thing. My wife and her siblings own some land. Since my brother-in-law deer hunts it I won't go on it during deer season. But come Feb. 2 (Our deer season goes out Jan. 31) I will be sitting in some of his stands trying to kill hogs. I feel this (Feb. 1 - Feb. 10) is going to be a prime time for some people on the line in the northern zone to try to get a few extra days of deer hunting in. Gonna be tough on these new GW's to make some judgment calls.

It would be real hard to prove without a deer on the ground IMO. Feb. is the best month of the year to get shots at coyotes and hogs on greenfields is pretty common from what I hear.

we just know. Next question..... This is similar to the question of how does a warden show up at a single tree in the middle of 300 acres to check a hunter's license. If a warden doesn't already know that particular tract well and the hunter is using a portable climbing stand, a warden would have to use some sorcery from the devil to know where to find that one hunter. Seems the warden would spend way too much of his time finding that one hunter in all those woods provided there's not a big clue like a large pile of yellow corn.

I use one of those triangle looking things from a Ouiji board to find hunters...toss it in the air and go in the direction it points. So I guess you could say there is a little sorcery from the devil at work.... I'll second BhamFred on the original post...we just know...

1. there are NO secrets 2. hunters/landowners talk 3. some folks talk TO GWs 4. a violator WILL tell on other violators 5. a GW will LISTEN to anyone 6. even if a GW is new, someone(old GW) will fill in the blanks 7. most GWs will wear out some boot leather 8. MOST IMPORTANT.....we just know...
