I'm still after 'em. We expect to see better deer movement in the next few weeks. I've shot 4 doe so far, freezer is full & looking for a buck! When schools out next week those extra hunters in the woods should make a few deer move!!

Yes, you only get credit for one doe and one buck.

A couple guys at church said they seen some chasing here in North West Bama yesterday! Maybe we'll get things going soon! I'll take off a couple days this week and see what happens!

Finally headed back out after a 7 week hiatus due to being sick and travel. Hoping for some movement even though I cant get to my normal areas.

Good luck Nick! I saw a pencil rack buck today, 7 or 8 points. I'd usually pass him, and I did, but i regretted it afterward. I just ain't seeing bucks this year. If he shows tomorrow, I'll probably shoot him.

I went out that morning and the only action I saw was the soles of my boots falling off not far from where I was headed to hunt.

That would make for a rough hunt!! I hope you got some new boots!!

No new boots but I do have backups. Looks like I may be done for the season. I had high hopes for this season too. Sorry guys.

Well, this is the only buck I've seen all season. This was the 5th time I've seen him. He was chasing a doe. The farmer who lets me hunt there had told me I better start shooting deer or he'd find someone who would! So When he slipped out this morning in the snow, I let him taste the ole 7 mm. It was a 230 yard shot.

I don't think we are catching up either, but no point in quitting! I am going to piss off the wife and try to hunt Sunday morning. Warmer weather than Id like but newish moon should make them move more during the day (I hope).

Trying to get it done the next 3 weeks. Daughters have killed does and an 8 pt. Trying to stick one with the bow, but just have not been able to make it happen the last 3 trips.

I bowhunted all day yesterday, only saw a spike and a doe, waited for a buck that never showed. I have pics of him at night and early morning, but just hoped he might come in during daylight. My last hunt is tomorrow afternoon. I'll bow hunt again. Good luck if you are still going guys! It was a fun year!
