Today was my first day out at Cahaba since the last gun hunt. Heard a buck grunting up a storm on a ridge across from me maybe a 100 yards away but never could actually see him. A doe was trailing him lower on the same ridge and then about 10 minutes later what looked like her fawn came through crying not stop trailing her. Saw another young buck strolling through. All that was around 9 AM and saw nothing the rest of the day. Did you not hit your grunt call?
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!

The doe was between me and the grunting buck only about 30 yards away so I couldn't do anything at that moment. I had my bow in hand hoping that he was going to work his way down closer to her but he never did. I tried as soon as she was out of site but I doubt he could hear me at that point.
