I don't, I drive a wrangler. Be careful giving too much info. I hunt an area very close to you. I've seen your wrangler a few times and it's a good area. Good luck!

They won't be touched anymore more then likely. They are winding down with the rut now. But you can still score if u hunt food sources. Still plenty of acorns on the ground

Just got done checking my cameras. Had a few chasing on new years eve and then it settled down. No bucks in daylight but had several browsing at night. Today was my first day out there since the last gun hunt. Heard a buck grunting up a storm today on a ridge across from me maybe a 100 yards away but never could actually see him. A doe was trailing him lower on the same ridge and then about 10 minutes later what looked like her fawn came through crying not stop trailing her. Saw another young buck strolling through. No new scrapes or rubs and the old ones have not been revisited. However, I did find one scrape that looks like it was visited last week sometime.

Didn't see a thing this afternoon on Cahaba. Tried a new spot, a creek bottom that feeds down from a food plot a couple hundred yards away on some private land. I was hoping to catch them slipping up that way to feed before dark, but nothing came through. I'm torn on where to go in the morning, only time I have found a white oak was after I had to raft across the Cahaba and I don't care to do that in these temps. Going ground blind in the morning so I can layer like crazy and then I'll climb a tree mid day and afternoon. I figure tomorrow will be my last time out there this season if I get skunked in an all day sit.
Any of ya'll drive a gray yota or nissan that was parked a few gates down from the check-in today? Normally I see it parked off 22.

I'm almost positive I've hunted this same spot earlier in the season. I know there could be a million spots like this but I would have described it the exact same way. IM me...Shelby or Bibb? N or S?

Based on my experiences and cameras, I would say that the majority of the rut on Cahaba was during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of December and anything left up to now would be considered secondary rut activity from does that weren't bred during that time such as the activity I witnessed today. However, I really hope I'm wrong.
