My son and a couple buddies went hunting after school today.  They're about to start trailing.

They trailed a while, and I went to help them. We trailed her down through a pine thicket with briars that's never seen man. Last blood we found was at a small branch . I walked trails all directions from there and up and down the branch. He said she was slight quarter to him and the shot looked good. I'm guessing either 1 lung or liver. We stopped looking at 10 and headed home. I hate to leave her because I know the coyotes will get her tonight. I guess that's part of it. Man I hate to loose a deer. That the first we've lost in several years.
