Try what you have first. You will need to bareshaft test to know for sure. Start full length and bareshaft. Never cut arrows and then try to tune them.

When you say 55# @ 28" is that your draw and weight or are those the AMO specs of the bow?

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

It might be giving you a false reading. If it is too stiff, it can bounce off the riser and give you a false weak. Just to see make it stiffer by using a lighter head and see if it shows even stiffer and use a heavier head and see if it shows even weaker. If it's bouncing the weight changes won't effect it as it should.

i have tried100 to 175 keeps showing weak. it's a 500 gt heavery hunter with 100 grain insert. also it keeps showing nock low as the arrow enters at a step angle with novk high. I have adjust nock both ways with no real change

They are too stiff if they show no change with that much change in point weight. When they are too stiff they bounce off the riser and give a false reading.

What length are they? What's your draw length? I assume your Samick is 40@28?

If they are knock right and you are shooting left hand, they are showing weak not stiff. Remove the 100 grn inserts and try a 125 tip and see how it bareshafts.

Do you have a rest built up? I like a little hump both from the sideplate and the floor plate.

You can also make weaker arrows shoot a little better by building out your sideplate or by lowering the brace. Don't lower it past about 7-3/4" though. I prefer 8-9". Try removing some tip weight first and see how that works.

You don't need all that massive FOC if your arrows are tuned. All that's for is to hide a bad tune.

Use 3m thick double sided tape, the kind that seems spongy if you compress it and Velcro. Add a thin strip of extra tape about center of the plate about as wide as a pencil. You might need two strips on top of each other. Main thing is to get the tape and Velcro and experiment.

What you are doing is building up the side and floor plate with a little bridge that the arrow rests on. This gives you the least contact with the plates and allows the arrow to flex some without hitting on the whole plate. The tape and velcro acts like a shock absorber and helps.

I just got back to this thread. I'll take some pictures later tonight. I'll post them here since I'm cell phone illiterate.
