Back to the original question ... I am looking for an accurate mechanical scale for reloading. Anyone have experience with the 5-0-5 or 10-10? Any other ideas/suggestions?

Well I bought a 5-0-5, it arrived yesterday. We'll see if it's any good ...

I would send it back and buy a scale in grains. I don't think you'll be happy with 1.54 grain accuracy, especially if you load for smaller pistol cartridges. A 1.5 grain error on some pistol cartridges will push them over the edge.
Having said all that, I hope it works out for you. thumbup

This is exactly why I don't have one of these scales.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

As I said, I have used my 5-0-5 for nearly 5 yrs. Love it. Just stuffed 60x 45-70 and 40x 300 Savage this afternoon/evening. Not a single bad word at all about the 5-0-5. Hope you like yours.

Do you have it set at eye level so you can be dead on when reading it? I'm gonna mount mine as backup for my digital but I want it sitting at eye level.

No its at mid-chest level but you bring up a good point. I need to be able to comfortably squat down and see it from a level view

I finally got around to using my Gempro 250 for a few minutes this evening. I'm really liking this little scale.
