I've always used # 8 but too many pellets.

Do the pellets pas thru or is it just easier to pick them out. I want to make squirrel dumplings for a party but with no chipped teeth.

7 1/2 is great for all critters and birds.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I only use #4 on rabbits and squirrel. Most, if not all shot passes through, and it retains more energy at distance.

I want 5's or 4's just so I'll have fewer and larger pellets to pick out.

I have always used 6's for tree rats, 4 or 5 for rarebits, and 7 1/2 or 8's for dove and quail. The 6's will reach into the tops of the tallest bottomland trees, yet still have a close enough group to get a few pellets in, thats considering it has a modified choke.
