Did it prevent them from going completely nocturnal so soon?

Anyone notice anything?

We had a couple killed right after the break then haven't seen anything in a week. Seems to have helped a little. But they're back to their old ways.

Saw 40 deer the Friday morning after it re-opened; 2 nice bucks. Probably just coincidence, though.

Anytime the pressure is reduced, you should see an uptick in daytime activity directly following. It generally doesn't take long for them to revert back to their old ways once hunters hit the woods again, though.

I miss the 10 days because the bucks generally haven't busted up yet when they start, but have begun to by the time it ends.

I think it helped reduce a lot of pressure. I think they should extend it to where you can only rifle hunt the last week of the season. Let the lead chunkers hunt the first and last week of the season and that's it. PERFECT.

i think they shouldn't open bow season till the opening of gun season . that way the bow hunters have not messed it up .
