Been watching this fire break a few days now from afar. They have a crossing bout fifty yards wide they like to cross. No specific trails but just galberries. I moved in on em this morning. Maybe it will work out. Nannerheads beware.

Dang. Buck was walking down firebreak. Got to about 120 and walked in same side as me. Hope he feeds this way and is big enough.

Afraid the boogie man will get you

First time on Cahaba. Borrowed a buddies raft with the intention of getting to a specific spot but got a late start and the raft takes an eternity to inflate so I just picked a random spot and hope I get lucky. Good luck

At Cahaba where I saw the 8 yesterday.

I set up this morning out at Wheeler, tried a new spot, and tried a call for the first time. Called in a pretty decent sized 6 point (anything is decent for me), but it was a weird angle with way to much brush, so I couldn't get a shot on him. Was pretty bummed, but also excited since this is the first deer I've seen in a very long time, hopefully I can get em' tomorrow.

Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil; because I carry a 45 and an extra magazine and I'm a decent shot...
