I don't mind dog hunters. I went several times when i was younger. Nothing like the sound of buckshot whistling thru the trees on a crisp morning. Its people's dogs that run loose ALL THE TIME that I hate. We gave up a lease a few yrars ago because of dogs that lived nearby. I could have killed them but couldn't bring myself to do it.

Just what are you considering "Large" tracts?? 1000 acres? or more

YES, have owned dogs before. They stayed in pens. Daughter has a dog right now. I dont really like it, but it stays inside and doesnt bother me much. I dont live where a dog would impact anyone elses hunting, IF it did i would not allow it to stay.

The reason I ask is I'm sure at some point your dog has chit in the neighbors yard. Some people are finicky about dogs chiting in their yard. Since they wouldn't appreciate your dog chiting in their yard using your logic. I assume you are okay with them shooting said dog?

TO be honest I would not care at all. I dont like dogs very much. My child likes dogs. I allow her to have a dog because it make her happy. All the land around us we own OR is own by a relative, so I have no issues their

Ok. Here is a loaded question. How many acres do most people think is the correct amount TO run deer dogs on ???? My answer= I would have to say it would vary. I one case 3000 acre that was pencil like might not be enough BUT 1000 acres in the right area, beside other dog hunting clubs might be plenty. What do yall think?????

When my dog was missing my first assumption was the dog had been shot by a "hunter". While my wife looked, she noted the locations of every truck. This dog has been out of immediate control only one time in the last year. Unfortunately it was the deer opener.

Someone is either a first class Internet fisherman or enjoys kicking & killing dogs. If the former, I salute you. If the latter, I will put aside my personal feelings & pray for you.

I never said that= I enjoyed kicking that dog. What the heck was I suppost to do???? I tried to run it off, it would not leave. I could not find a big rock, only small ones and corn cobs. I was not going to let it ruin MY hunt. I also would not kill a neighboring land owners pet. I know the old man, we have no problems. I wanted the dog gone. I kicked it. It left, end of story. SAw it , in its yard the next day, its jaw was not wired shut! I know people that have legitimate beefs with dog deer hunter. They are friends of mine. Even these guys don't ENJOY killing dogs. But there comes a point that enough is enough.

Strays, feral dogs, 'yard dogs' left out to fend for themselves and roam where they want, rogue hunter's dogs and the such actually cause far more problems than actual hunting dogs that have crossed onto property that they are not supposed to be on.

But, many people lump them all into the same group!

Here I am. Actually been working and trying to enjoy some time with my family. I haven't been on the computer since posting and was actually venting when I did. I had no intention of starting such a post.

Anyway, yes the dogs are coming on our property and getting bored apparently causing them to chase the horses.

Honestly, what he or anyone does on their land is fine until it interferes with the rights of another and then I think there is a question.

I don't hate dog hunters. I used to dog hunt during the 70s and 80s but we never did on such a small tract of land.

Sure we could set up and use the dogs for our advantage. However, I would not have never spent my time and money on food plots and shooting houses if I would have known this would happen.

I guess it comes down to the money and time I spent preparing the property that aggravates me the most.

The neighbor that looks over the property for us said he has run the dogs constantly morning and evening for the last five days. I have been unavailable due to work to be there when the guy was but plan to be there tomorrow to try to talk to him and figure things out.

I am my brother's keeper.

Now im really pissed...and confused!!! Ive been waiting patiently for the case of "Shooters anti dog spray" that you had invented and you and your ambulance chasing lawyer were working on!

Now I come on here to find that you...SHOOTERS...arent even using the dang spray and instead just drop kicking their teeth out! Heck..if you got my check I want my money back.

I can just kick dogs myself for free. I didnt know that was the preferred method and had really been counting on that spray dang it.
Not that I have any dogs problems...but I really wanted to be ready in case any developed.

Now im really confused. And I had been bragging on that spray you invented all year!
