I have an iPhone 5 (work phone) that the battery life has gotten horrible. I've charged it three times today and even leave it plugged in charging while I'm in the truck, and it's only at 17% battery life right now. Anybody have this problem? By the way, I am closing out any open apps too.

Yes, there is an iPhone 5 free battery replacement program if your phone qualifies. You can check it online through apple to see if your serial number qualifies. You can only have the battery swapped at the actual apple store though. I did mine in St. Louis 3 weeks ago when I went to hunt.

Go to settings and turn your location off.

The GPS is used by a ton of apps and eats a lot of battery.

Just turn it on when you need it.

Mine sucks, I'm thinking this will be my last iPOS. I've seen mine to from 75% to 30% to shutting off in matter of minutes then I plug it in and jumps to 75% as soon as I plug in. All my apps are off, blue tooth and wifi off and location is off. This is my 3rd iPhone and I'm done.

If you are traveling in more remote areas it eats a lot of battery searching for a good signal.

Mine does the same thing in cold weather. Sometimes it shuts down at 68% if signal is bad. I can keep it in a pocket with a hot hands and it seems to do better. I recently bought a portable charger (external battery) and it works great but it weighs as much as my iPhone. Where I hunt the signal is between bad and none with several stands in the "none" category. I'm glad to know about the free replacement thing I will check into it.

Mine did the same thing, took it to a guy that fixes iPhones in town and he put in a new battery for $45. There are lots of places that will do it , I can't sending off to get fixed bc I need it all the time .

I like it when the battery on my work phone goes dead. I only have one charger for the antique piece of crap, and you cant buy a new one, so when it dies i am done talking for the day.

Samsung S5, best batteries I've ever seen. My daughters have battery issues with their I Phones, and they are not very old.

My wife's S5 doesn't last as long as my I phone.

I have to plug my 3 year old 4S in once a day and it usually still has 40% or so life left when I charge it at night. Best battery life I've ever had on a phone.

My 4S was good and so is my 5s. I like em.

I use the internet quite a bit while hunting and my 5s will last all day. Adjusting the brightness on your screen will make a huge difference.

I just purchased a new one for my sons phone, $17. I'll replace it myself when it comes in.

I replace the glass on it Monday and he'd not told me it wasn't charging at all until after I had it back together.

No batteries in town. So I had to order one.
