I just picked up a tikka t3 in 308. I'm not really sure what I want to shoot through it. I know a lot is preference. I thought about horandy match grade 168 grain. Any suggestions?

Are you hunting with it? I would start with 165 gr Federal Fusions

Both of mine are shooters and I'm partial to the fusions.

Im not sure I would hunt with the Amax bullet if it were me.

My sons likes 150 gr SST Hornady Customs .

Winchester Power Max or Federal Fusions.

It's real tough to go wrong with a 165 or 168 in a .308...they're a match made in Heaven!

I'm loading my own for my T3 Compact 308 but fired two boxes of Core Lockt 150g and they patterned really well for store bought.

As far as my loads, I'm having more than excellent results with Hornady SST in 150g and Barnes TTSX in 150g.

I'd be willing to bet the store bought Hornady SST would be much better than the Core Lockt

What Burbank said thats what i shoot and it patterns perfect killed several with them no problems .

match grade is for target shooting, not hunting ...

Hornady American Whitetail is in my tikka and in the stand with me right now.
This gun loves them one ragged hole at 100 and hits like Thor's hammer.

Mine loves the Remington 150's which is good on the ol' wallet.
