Tacoma regular cabs will no longer be made. No 2015 models in regular cab. Sad day for me. I grew up driving a regular cab Toyota. I think that's the perfect truck.

Carry on.

No rude comments from those who drive diesels.

It's getting harder and harder to find regular cab trucks from any manufacturer (other than fleet vehicles). Trucks have become more of a family vehicle than most cars these days.

A really nice, late model, regular cab, 4X4 is gonna fetch a premium. smile

central ala,
I spent yesterday trying to get me a 2015 Tacoma access cab 4x4. I can go to the Toyota website and build exactly what I want. That's great....but can't get it. Can't special order one. Have to take what they make.

I'm always confused by that too, centralala. The local dealer acts like those things can't be ordered ahead of time. If I have the cash, why can you not get me what I need? If there was a huge unmet demand, why not make more and sell more?

Toyota doesn't do special orders. Toyota builds what they want to, dealers can watch what's being built then go out and tag it to come to them. The dealer can go to another Southeast dealer and do a swap for what you want. They want to sell 4door, 4X4s with V6 engines. I had a heck of a time finding a 4X4 access cab, 4cylinder , auto tranny in gray earlier this year. Was only 3 in the Southeast during a two month period.

I got this truck the week I graduated high school, first brand new vehicle I ever had. It was my second regular cab 4cy, 5spd 4x4 Toyota....I drove an '85 for a couple of years before that. I've also had a 1996 Tacoma 4cyl, 5spd reg cab 4x4, a 2001 V6 xtra cab automatic 4x4, and I now drive a 2008 4x4 Dbl cab.

Here's that '96 I was talking about....

Good looking rides as well, I wish I could find a decent low mileage older YOTA but everybody asks crazy prices for them

I had a 96 regular cab that I sold in 2005 for $4500,it had 170k miles on it and was in really good shape,I had also just put some 31x10.50 BFG mud terrains on it,I feel like I gave it away,I bought a 2004 double cab 4wd in February 2005 and it's still my main vehicle, has 155k on it now and I hope to put another 155 on it

Steelman, I seen one that looked decent with a cracked block for $800..

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

I have had one toyoya and it was a 86 I believe, I sold what I believed to be a solid truck to jughead and from what I hear it was a money pit. On his end, I would buy another one but newer and a track record of the truck would be needed

Not exactly. I have 2 Tundras and my wife had a 4Runner that I ordered. They don't make huge variations, but you can get the one you want within the parameters of their production packages. Go through South Eastern Toyota, distributer for all dealerships in SE. They will divert a vehicle meeting your needs to the dealer of your choice if it is in their incoming inventory. If there're is not one coming, they can order it if within parameters.

I know where a decent looking 86 is right now for sale for $1200. My buddies brother bought it and turned out the rear end was bad and I believe something is wrong with the front end. Can't remember exactly.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
