There is nothing wrong with protecting your property. What you can't seem to fathom is that calling someone a chimp is racist. Monkey, chimp, knuckle dragger are all racist terms if they are applied to someone of color.

Pretty sure that racism, slavery, beatings, murders, the Klan, Bull Connor, white bigotry and hatred are pretty much major contributors to today's society problems as much as the welfare class in black society.

In reality, I wouldn't rest my livelihood on a business anchored in the middle of that type of crap. The businesses there have had since August to pull up shop and move. We all saw this coming. They've been very public about what they were going to do - either way the decision went. It didn't matter to the ones in the streets. They were going to use this as an excuse to act the way they did. They didn't care about the outcome of the grand jury or anything else, all they knew was they were going to cause problems. Smart business owners see that and do what they have to in order to survive, even if it means doing business somewhere else.

Also, I wouldn't be bunkered down inside a business protecting replacable objects when that crap went down. I'd be fulfilling the role I take in my family and protecting my wife and children, and doing so from somewhere away from ground zero. I would put them first on the protection list, and inventory or building would be last.

BTW, I have black customers and black friends, they get the same respect that any one else does. These thugs in Ferguson are nothing more than savages and should be treated as such. Some of you just don't get it, and to defend them and their actions is wrong.

Not sure how much money you make. But D$%m it man there is no way I could afford to move my Business. You would be talking 10's of thousands of dollars to move or more in some of there cases. Tough choice Family or Business tho. Well without the Business my family doesn't eat. So I would have to protect the business. And that is why I am sitting here with 2 guns under the counter.

Rasist comments could shut down your business forever. Politicians would be lined up around the block to shut down your business for a photo op. You have to be smarter and better than that.

The right to free speech, mean that you won't be put in jail for your words, it does not in any way mean that you can say what you want with no push back or repercussions.
