First year in a new club in Lowndes County just north of Fort Deposit.

I killed a doe Saturday that was a bag of bones. I haven't seen a deer that poor since the early days at Oak Mountain. A couple other doe were brought in over the weekend off of the same property and they were some better.....but not much.

I am guessing this doe was around 50 lbs. I know it has been bad dry the past couple of months but dang. I am hoping this was an isolated incident.

Man, ours are fat as butterballs!

But, we had a wet Spring, a HUGE and early crop of soft mast and this huge acorn crop that started falling early as well. So, if any of ours are 'poor'....something is wrong with them!

Get with a local Biologist. We would as Matt posted earlier, those are the type deer we would love to get our hands on to do some testing.
