Well guys I am 48 yrs old and I have my first ear ache ever.It hurts like a s.o.b.Feels like a tooth ache on the side of your head.I got sweet oil in it right now after boiling it out with peroxide.I think I may have caused it.I always q-tip my ears after my evening shower right before bed this time I forgot to dry my ears with a q-tip.I sleep in front of a fan so I think the wind combined with a wet ear canal may have caused it.

I have been dealing with "chronic earaches" since last Christmas Eve, it is miserable. The pain comes and goes bit it's always irritated. Hope yours gets better!

doubt the wind had anything to do with it. most likely have an outer ear canal infection from leaving water in there. most people call it swimmers ear.

Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!

If it hurts that bad, it is more likely an infection. I used to deal with them a lot before I got my allergies under control. I would say go to a doctor. If you wait to long and it is an infection, it will burst your ear drum, and that is a new world of pain.

Earache? Earache my eye!

my wife just went to the doctor for swimmers ear. they prescribed ciprodex eardrops cost is $200. the doctor said someone else came earlier that day with the same thing and was sent to the hospital instead. infections in the head can be deadly.

I started having what I thought was a bad toothache Friday night as I was getting all my gear ready. Saturday morning it moved to my upper teeth and then on up to my ear. Went to the doctor yesterday and got a steroid shot in the 'ole buttocks to hopefully dry up the fluid in my ear.

I'm glad it wasn't my tooth after all...but I'm with you - earaches are a LOSER. Hope you feel better soon!

Well it's gone thank the Lord!I boiled it out with peroxide then cleaned it out with 91%rubbing alcohol, warmed up some sweet oil and put in the canal and after that put one of those orange foam earplugs in there.I got off work at seven and took it out.All is well with the world smile
