I opened a door on a shooting house the other day and it was full of live hornets. Anyone else having this problem? I thought the 20 degree nights would have killed them.

doecommander out...........................

Reminds me of Austin Powers....

"So what's the plan Austin?"

"First....I plan to soil myself. Then, I'll form a new plan."

"Hell yes I'm ready Woodrow! Don't I look ready?"

Sent the old lady to a field this pm and she called and said there were wasp all over the house. She ended up siting on the ground since she's deathly afraid of them

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I've got a Sportsman's Condo that they come to every year. Still cant figure out how those boogers get in. Last year I got in it before daylight only to find a ball of about 40 of them in the corner across from my head when the sun came up. Has anybody figured out a way to keep them out???

We usually stick a Raid fogger in ours about a week before season and that is all of them. Just do it on a cold day when they are not as mean.

I have two shooting houses, one is painted black on the inside and the other is just natural wood color...unpainted.
The black house always has Red Wasps in it. They swarm all around it during the day even after I bomb the inside. The unpainted one never has any wasp except an occasional Guinea Wasp nest over the summer, a splash of soapy water gets rid of those though.
They are attracted to the Black. Paint the inside of your house white, tan or some other light color.

Hunt'em hard when they are hard to hunt but never, ever hardly hunt!

Cold weather does not kill bees & bugs. Old age, predators & insecticides kills them. Cold weather just makes them hide in shooting houses.

Early in the season they are not very aggressive on cooler days. I take my pocket knife and but them in half to pass the time.
