What is a legal buck in Barbour Co.? Is a spike legal or do all 3 have to have at least 3 points/side?

All bucks have to have at least 3 points on one side.

Why is it that way? Has it been over hunted? Is the wma the same?

It's not a Passion, it's an Obsession. That's what I tell my wife, but she promptly informs it's a disease to which is incurable.

It's a specific program for the county... It was put into place 8-10 years ago to get the age buck class higher....

Do you feel it has benefited the county? We're most clubs on some type of restriction such as this before? Interested in the before/afters of this program.

Yup.. I know it has...Over the last five years Barbour is always in the top spot or near the top spot for producing 3 1/2+ year old bucks according to AL Game and Fish..These numbers are based on the bucks brought to the check in station...
I hunt in northern Barbour and have land that borders the WMA... Seeing young bucks and mature bucks usually ain't a problem... Getting shots at them due to some of the thickets is the only obstacle..... They have the program and the terrain to allow them to get old...
