I sorta hijacked another thread but it was unintentional and my apologies to dnolen for that.

My son was admitted to Huntsville Hospital Friday with abdominal pain. It turned out to be a bad case of diverticulitis. He actually has pockets of infection that perforated the wall of his colon. With lots of prayer, great medical personnel and strong antibiotics, the surgeon and infectious disease specialist say he's good to go. He'll be on IV antibiotics at home for a couple of weeks to make sure all the bad stuff is killed but as far as I could tell this evening he's back to normal already . Probably some elective surgery in his future to get rid of the bad places on the colon.

Thanks go out to all who sent prayers and please keep them going till we know he's 100%. God is great and He gets the glory.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I like the way you said he was going to be fine. Starting with "lots of prayers" good news

That's great to hear. Praying for you both.

Glad he is doing ok. I had the same issues with diverticulitis for years.(I'm only 32 years old, I thought this was an old person disease..lol) In and out of the emergency room several times a year with it, I finally had to have a colon resection back in July. I had 12 inches of my colon removed to get out the infected areas. Just tell him to follow the doctors orders and all will be well. Praying for your son.

been there myself Wiley, ain't no fun. Glad he's ok for now. I also had the surgery to remove 2" of colon, tough surgery but I was much older than your son. Surgery helped a BUNCH. Prayers up for him for a complete recovery.
