Back in Tennessee with the ML this morning. The rut's wide open here. Saw several deer chasing this week and had a few missed opportunities on shooters. Hoping I can get it done today before the rifles come out tomorrow. I'm here for the day or until something hits the dirt.

No deer for me yet, but I just hammered a coyote...I killed one with my ML in this stand on the same day last year too This might be the smallest coyote I've ever seen. I bet it won't weigh 15 lbs. Regardless, I'm glad to get it out of the woods. Since the wind has been NW here all morning, I decided to make a move when I shot the coyote. I'm in the hardwoods now, hoping for a mid-morning buck.

Been a surprisingly slow morning so far here. Haven't saw anything since the small buck earlier. Hopefully a hot doe will come through.

Wind switched around on me so I changed spots. Now watching a big hayfield that the deer have been using good in the evenings. I saw two shooters in this field earlier this week.
