Later and if you can get on the edge of a clear cut it would be even better.

Later and if you can get on the edge of a clear cut it would be even better. just asking becouse i dont know. Why a clear cut? Sun Sun Sun is key for our deer here. They aren't use to the cold cold weather like it is going to be tomorrow. So if you have a Tree dropping on the edge of the clear cut that will probably have the best opportunity. Or fallow the Extension cords to the bedding area because they will use the cords to plug in there Electric Blankets

Go in early and sit late... Problem solved! I like to hunt daylight till 1030-1100. Then get down eat and get set up by 100 and set till dark.. Its real hard to do on those cold days some times but I have figured out to use the hot hands for your feet thin pair of socks. Carry wool sox with you and put them on before you climb up.. At least that is what worked for me the last couple days in Kentucky where the hottest it got was 38.. But I do a lot of walking.

They hammered the food plot I hunted this evening either mid morning or mid day. I believe I'm going to go in and hunt from 8 til 12 tomorrow. I'm going to carry some snacks in case it turns into an all dayer. If not, I'll come down grab a bite and set up somewhere else about 1. I'll probably hunt the ridges between the cutover and the creek bottom tomorrow afternoon if I get a favorable wind.

Getting out of your stand in the middle of the Rut in Kentucky at 12 noon is Bat Chit Crazy. If your Hungry take some Dang food. Cold day like tomorrow morning its going to be 20 degrees. Ill get in my stand from 7-8 in the morning and just sit all day. Like Shaw pointed out the deer hit his place around noon. North Alabama is probably a little different but down here if the temp. mark gets below 30 Degrees they are snuggled up in with a teddy bear and electric blanket.
