Thanks for the kind words fellas! Woodhaven makes some great calls no doubt. I can't imagine the headache of running a call business that big. I have repaired a few crystal calls from Woodhaven that the soundboard came unglued on but have always heard good things about their calls and they are used to kill a TON of turkeys every year. His calls are on the higher end of the price list but he's making a living doing it. Most of us small builders do it as a hobby. I do it because I love fiddling around with turkey stuff and talking to other turkey hunters. If you live close by, I would go by his shop and try one. If you are like most turkey hunters, you already know the sound you are looking for and will know really quick if the cherry crystal is what you want. I would love to go by there and see his operation.

I'm no Woodhaven staffer or spokesperson by any means, but I grew up in Heflin, and I promise you all that there is no one on this site that loves, or thinks about, turkey hunting more than Pentecost. If you're interested in calling or hunting it's worth it to go by there and shoot the bull with them.

The company isn't perfect, but they make some great stuff. A turkey hunter in Jacksonville, AL owes it to themselves to go see where Woodhavens are made.
