1. Never try to adjust the cable in your climber while in a tree. (Idiot, thank you Jesus) 2. Never order a bow off of eBay from an archery shop without personally shooting the bow. 3. Spend more time in August and September cutting shooting lanes and less time catching smallmouth. 4. Make sure to save more vacation for bow season. 5. I love to bowhunt more than anything else I do.

Do #3 in February. It's much cooler and you'll be opening lanes that the bucks are using late in the season. And more time for them to get use to the lanes. #4 and #5 bow season doesn't go out until Jan. 31st or Feb. 10th, depending on your location.

Yeah I know but when the Orange Army hits the woods, the deer generally go nocturnal where I hunt. I didn't see but 2 deer last year the entire month of December. It heats up in January when the bucks start chasing.
