Anytime before dark works just fine.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I usually get in about 20 mins before daybreak. I got a new shift, 1p-1a so I'm gonna try going when I get up from around 8-11. Hopefully it'll work out.

Do all ya'll hunt plots in the morning? The OP was talking about hunting food plots. I usually get to a plot by 3pm, although i don't hunt them that much. I have a stand where i can see a plot, but also can look down 3 lanes. Killed a bunch of good bucks from that stand. My cameras and personal siting indicate that deer move on our plots in the mornings once the sun is up good. Around 8:30 to 9:00 and use them through out the day. It's like they wait for the dew to burn off and then hit the fields.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Our rut starts around Jan 6th and we get pictures of mature bucks on plots morning/midday alot starting about Dec 25th until Jan 20th. I will add that most are not eating just walking through.

The question was about plots. My experience is in AM plots are used mid morning or after the frost burns off. We all know they are used alot late PM. I rarely hunt a plot in the AM, but when I do I slip in after daylight or stalk to them mid-morning. I like stalking them mid-morning if there's nothing out there or nothing that needs shooting , going to the next one, and so on.
In pm get there about bout 3 PM.

I like clover plots in late Jan. Sometimes that big dark blob feeding before it is light enough to see is a good buck.
