I use a basic Nikon and have been very happy with it. I don't hunt areas very steep anyway.

I've never seen the need for it here. If you're gonna hunt in steep elevation out West, maybe. The next one I get won't have it, if there is such a thing anymore. +1 Save yourself some money and get a basic one...i picked up th nikon aculon last month for $109. Works great!

the arc feature, is it worth it? Nope. I've shot ranges from 10-40 yards at as steep an angle as I could find and rarely have seen over 2-3 yards difference.

I have an old Nikon with the angle comp. I use it in the evenings on green fields. I pick out landmarks and get the range out to 60. I have never needed it in the hardwoods.
