I just got my Sportsman mounting accessory in today and have tried in a couple of locations on my Matthews Switchback XT. Has anyone else used this Go Pro mount and where did you mount yours on the bow. I noticed a considerable difference in the weight of my bow with it mounted about my sight. Definitely going to have to shoot it again before climbing up in a tree.

I made a bracket that bolts where my stabilizer goes. No added weight to either side and added a lil weight farward which I like. Works really great.

I have the same mount. I mounted mine to my stabilizer. I didn't get the results that I wanted.

Shoot it while videoing and see if you can even tell what happens, my guess is you will be much happier with a tree mount.

^^this^^

I've tried 2 or 3 different style mounts on my bow. I can never tell what happens after the shot.

I've watched videos that people took with theirs mounted on their bows and they all had one thing in common...as soon as they shot, the camera went down as the bow rotated in the shooters hand and you didn't get to see anything after the shot.....

the ones that mount to your head like a headlamp tend to get better video b/c they automatically video whatever you're looking at.

I mount mine to my stand but I usually forget to move it when they run at an angle.

I agree with Gomer, the best videos are with the camera either mounted to the hunter, or to the stand/tree filming a wide area. You also get a shakey video with the vibration of the bow.

I'd go with a head mount because you are 100% going to watch that deer after the shot and it will film everywhere you look!

Time_Killer, the sight is a G5 Optix XR2. Great sights! I had a Optix XR which is a multi pin +1 floating pin.
