I've always had pass troughs with rage heads. Like others have said, think you need check your bow and retune it.

In your head
I am impressed with slick tricks, those heads are rough on them. I have shot 2 does with the Magnums, both ran about 30yds a piece and fell over dead. I decided to step it up a notch and try the Grizz Trick and have shot 3 does with them, all which have dropped dead in their tracks. I shoot 100gr and Carbon Express Maximum Hunters.

I'm leary of the mechanical heads in lower poundage bows. I know all the rhetoric, but real-world examples tell me that unless you're pile driving them with a heavy bow, you get a lower percentage of pass-thrus. But I'd guess that your problem isn't broadhead related. It's most likely arrow weight or shot placement.

We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

To successfully hunt with mechanicals you must have higher poundage, or a heavier hunting arrow to get enough KE. I used to hate mechanicals until I started shooting FMJ's. I now shoot Victory VAP's and they will get pass throughs with a large mechanical as well. With low poundage, the smaller diameter in FMJ's and Victory arrows should help too.

Get you some trophy taker shuttle T's or slick tricks and then you'll be digging them out of the dirt after it passes through the deer. As a kid I shot completely through numerous deer with a 45lb bow and 3- blade muzzies.

If a rage don't work for ya you probably can't shoot smile. I've never had an ounce of trouble out of rages. Except for having to clean a murder scene when I'm hunting a friends property. I don't like to leave a big mess smile
