I don't believe it is anymore, Daniel. I hunted there back in the late 1990s with the guides, Ricky and Johnny Sikes, and the owners were nice folks. But I believe it closed and possibly burned. They had an old cabin from the 1840s or thereabouts that they had repaired and added the lodge on the back.
Damn sure was in the middle of nowhere. Just a skip from the Mississippi line.

Yea it was Clem, I was about 10 or 11 when dad carried me down there, so that was 18-20 years ago. But the Guys that run that place was crazy, I laughed all the time, the cussed and told dirty jokes, for a 11 year old it was funny. Seen the biggest buck I think I ever saw down there. He crossed a road in front of us, we was piled up in the suburban. The guide started hollering, you dumb SOB's get out and shoot him all while power sliding side ways. I just remember it was a very fun time, had a lot of laughs, and heard words I haven't never heard till that time..

Dang, ya'll been hunting wayyyyy too close to my place . The lodge was owned by the Land brothers, shut it down several years ago. There is another good hunting lodge between Melvin and Gilbertown that is called Water Valley which is a good place owned by the Utsey's from Butler. My place is about a mile and a half from Melvin just inside Mississippi. Leo Allen and Johnny Laneir have Beent Creek lodge near Jachin. Bent Creek . Joey Hall has River Bend at Myrtlewood. River Bend. Leo And Joey are friends of mine and good people.

How about Arrowhead Lodge down that way. It still around? It is called Pushmataha Plantation now. Owned by Mark Ezell, The old lodge was north of HWY 10 in Lisman and I think it was called Arrowhead lodge back then. Mark's brother Doug is a good ole boy that owns the store in Lisman. But, you should know this . http://www.alahunt.com/aboutus.html
