I did when I was in the sixth grade, went to Washington D.C., mom thought I would get homesick, yeah right, one of the best times in my life. I want to take another one, where I do not know.

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?

We took the Amtrak to N.O. from Meridian and back. If decide to go it is very comfortable traveling especially if you get the private car.

That would be a good one. I actually want to take a trip from Anniston west thru California, up to Washington and back thru the midwest, and home. Probably take a month and would need to win the lottery to pay for it. It's a lot cheaper to fly, for long trips. I actually thinks its cheaper to take a train to New Orleans, instead of driving.

I would love to do the trip from Chicago across to Seattle sometime. It goes right by Glacier National Park and I would stop there for a couple of days. Been there once and loved it. If I had the time and dollars I would go south down the west coast from Seattle to LA or San Diego and then across to New Orleans from there. They have a 14 day pass that allows you to have up to 8 stops in 14 days for less than $500. Kids under 12 are half price too. You could travel From Bham up the east coast, across the top of the US , back down the west coast and back to Bham in two weeks but I think you would be ready to get off when the two weeks was over, haha.

Lead, follow or get the HELL outa the way!

My wife and I have taken a few. We always get the sleeper cars. Its a private room .

You get great meals included in the dining car and the foods pretty good. I get Filet Mignon on some trips. She gets salmon and it is first class.

So are you saying we could go from Anniston to the Grande Canyon and back for $500 per adult, as long as we do it within a 2 week period?

central ala,
Done one in Alaska. Beautiful but can make you pucker pretty tight at times on the side of mountains. My next one will be out of Chama, New Mexico. Day trip up into Colorado. Watched this train go in and out of station there many times just never did it. I will soon.

It's pretty cool for the first hour. Then it becomes a lot like a bus.
