Use a snout snare to hold him. Back him off the back of a trailer and when his belly hits the floor. Cut him. Have cut 500+ lb boars like this. But u gotta be stout to hold them.

thank for the info. Do you put something on the slit after to help heal? I've never put anything on the cut. I've only done goats though.

I feel even more sorry for the first pig you try this on after reading how to do it on aldeer. How much stuff do ya'll figure has been screwed up followed by these famous last words "Well thats what they said on aldeer!"

When I was a teenager and helped my uncle, I was the person that held the back legs. Whoever said they were some squalling and squealing little jokers is correct. Of course if I was being de-nutted I'm sure I'd squeal too. I used to hate when he called and told me we were going to "cut some" in the morning. Never knew whether it was going to be pigs or calves until I showed up. I remember my uncle used to spray some purple stuff on the empty sack. He said it was for the flies.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

during hot weather we used to rub grease on them after we cut them . Yep when I was young I seen the Old timers do that..I'm not sure if it was grease or motor oil they used though....

We used kerosene. I don't know why but that's what the old guys I knew used. And the nuts fry up real good.

All that I can add, to what Dr White has written is to be sure and make the cuts in the sack up and down not across, that way the fluid can drain.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I I don't use no spray whatsoever. If you have any water or mud hole where you are keeping it at. That's the first place they will go. Then they wash you blue spray off. But that's just me. I cut about a 125 to 150 calves a year. I cut bottom of sack clean off. Insert balls between fingers and rip, all in one motion. Hell I don't even get to have people to hold the tail. A good tail man is worth their weight in gold on 500 pound plus calves though. No a good hydraulic squeeze shut is.

Yall let me know where to send them and I will send yall a mess of calf nuts next time we cut a few dozen. I bet coonhunter gets a mess every week he could send yall. I always figured a pig would be easier than a calf. Damn calves will suck them sumbucks up and make them hell to get ahold of after you slice the sack in half. I didn't figure a pig could hide them as well.

I thought I killed a dang 350-400 pound calf a few years back. Cut him, pulled them out and that sumbuck hit the dirt. I released the headcatch and he payed there for 10 minutes or so. I guess he went into shock. He raised his head and got up real slow and walked off. I had done made plans to skin his ass out. Never had it happen before or since.

The biggest one I have ever cut weighed 700 pounds. He was long and lean and I would have guessed that he weighed no more than 500. The guy who owned him had just bought him at the stockyard and paid .06 cents a pound for him for a whopping $42 total. I don't know if he ever got the stank fed out of him, but it was a whole lot of cheap sausage. You would do good pulling piglets, with them small hands.. J/k
