You are correct about the intensity and drama of the LSU/Bama game during the Saban era. The 9/6 game is the only time I've ever been to at BDS. It was a night I'll likely never forget. It was tough to walk out of there as an LSU fan that night. Head down, low profile and mouth shut. Can't say I didn't celebrate when we made it back to the car! What a night and certainly a game that lived up to the hype. (Game of the Century)

On another note, I also remember the bitter disappointment in the sting of defeat and anger I felt to a close friend (whom shall remain nameless) as Yeldon scampered into the end zone the following year at Tiger Stadium. As Yeldon and the Tide celebrated my "friend" danced and rode an imaginary horse across my living room floor. He better be glad he was a good friend. grin
Your missing a very important game there! You mentioned the 9/6 game & when yeldon score the touch down the following year..Has the 21/0 shutout been forgotten? whistle grin

No it hasn't been forgotten. I remember how the Tiger faithful were stranded in the stadium after the game. Some Bammer went out there and drew a 50 yard line across the road and the LSU fans couldn't get across! rofl

LSU has had trouble stopping the straight ahead run game all year. Bama has a stable of good, strong runners. Yeldon and/or Henry will have a big game. The Bama coaches aren't stupid. They will keep it on the ground mostly and grind it out in the second half. If Miles tries to stack the box, Cooper is the weapon. It's a no win situation for the mini-tigers.
Bama 35-10 and that is with bama taking the foot off the accelerator about half way in the fourth.

Of course it would be wonderful for my alma mater if it were otherwise, but it won't be. bammer will be a one loss team come Iron Bowl time.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I worry a bit about Bama because they have not looked good on the road this year. Also, I have concerns with how they do very little in the second half of recent games and let the other team back in the game. Idk they have had a by week so that should have them ready. RTR

The last off week bama had they lost at Ole Miss. I expect this one to be a close game.

LSU can't throw the ball very good at all. Bama will load up to stop the run. If Bama's offense can click like they're capable of, it shouldn't be a close game at all. Hopefully we don't go super conservative on offense like we did against Ole Miss. Let them boys run!!!

So you weren't one of the Tiger fans pointing at women and children and getting in there face after the game? Your fellow fans were a whole lot more outta control than any butt hurt bammers. I was there and witnessed it all. Will never subject my family to that bunch again.

Negative ghost rider. Not me. In fact, a coupe of fans wanted to walk out with us but we left them to themselves when they started doing exactly what you described. Last I saw one guy was being pushed into a wall in the stairwell. Hope he made it out ok. Being obnoxious is just foolishness in my opinion.

It's going to be a great game, I noticed the NCG LSU fans are great after the game! Great losers but pretty vocal before the game!

I just hate Collins put this out..kitty litter

“Just want to show them I picked the right team, definitely, that we’re the dominant force, that we’re the best team in the SEC,” Collins said Monday. “Show them that basically, I picked the better team.”

Since Lsu put Beckwith at Mike LB they have been a different defense. If you see Welter come in, Bama should run up the middle.
