I was reading about it the other day and am wondering if it's as good as it seems to be? Looks like they have some good hunting manufacturers participating. I had never heard of it.

Promotive is geared mostly for retail associates and what is often called "friends of the industry." Deals vary widely by brand since each participating manufacturer determines who qualifies to buy their products through Promotive, what products are available to a particular group, and what the discount level is for that group. For example, Wiley X may offer 30 products at 60% off MSRP for retail store associates, 20 products at 40% off MSRP for outdoor writers, and 10 products at 20% off MSRP for military/police organizations.

Another good program is 3.5. It is geared exclusively to retailers and retail associates. Employees complete a few basic training modules online, then complete a questionnaire to test their knowledge of that product. Assuming they pass, the employee then is allowed to buy that brand's merchandise through a secret online store at prices as sweet as 60-80% off retail.
