I was reading the Hunting Digest yesterday and noticed it was legal to hunt deer with an air rifle, .30 cal or larger. No mention of minimum pressure or type of projectile or projectile speed. Seemed strange to me.

They are high dollar guns for an air rifle. Go to airgundepot.com and check them out.

There is video on here somewhere of some guys here in Alabama using an air rifle to hunt deer.

I've shot the Benjamin Rouge .357

It shoots a 158 gr. projectile at 3000 psi. It will put a whooping on deer.

That was a cool video, I recall him shooting a .357 bullet around 900-1000 fps. I don't remember what the bullet weighed.

That one in the video is actually the gun.

It's about like shooting a bow though, you better know your hold over. Projectiles drop in a hurry!

Why did they quit making the rogue? Not enough sales or problems with the gun?

Quiet too, you could clear a greenfield in a hurry if it was full of stupid nannies

Cutting weight and cost. New one is supposed to be about 5lbs. lighter and $300+ cheaper.

I also think there may be a new clip design from what I've read.

So they're selling them again? Last time checked to see how much they cost it looked like they quit making them for several years.
