If you have a septic tank they will be all over your field lines. And yes they will come to play with you in the yard. Its time to shoot some bacon.

They will go anywhere food is. While normally not aggressive by nature, one that is cornered or startled, could charge.
If you are truly concerned for safety, a fence is your friend! Take notice to this^^^ If you have a lot of hogs in the area and you want to prevent several hundred to thousands of dollars in damages to your yard and landscaping, a fence of some kind is in order. Hogs aren't going to be neat to see the first couple of times. You better get in front of the problem before your yard suffers the consequences IF you think hogs are the culprit.

Question for you guys who deal with hogs...will these things come into the yard? I'm more concerned about the kids being in the yard playing. I don't know anything about hogs.
The other day a neighbors dog came into the yard and he was beat up. I figured it was just coyotes. Well, my neighbor walked out behind our houses today because the dogs were going wild. He heard alot of snorting and grunting. He said it sounded like hogs. And I don't doubt it...there are alot of hogs across the creek a few miles from the house. A hunting club brought them in to video the kills from what I was told. The other club behind them slaughters them regularly. I see you live in Corner. I lived up that way for years and years. The "hearsay" is the hogs were brought in by a guy up there that ran a club, who also sold hog hunts. Most everyone around the area knows him and knows the story but, from what I've heard, no one can prove it. The hogs have destroyed people's lawns, garden's, etc...

Mess up the yard? Possibly. Destroy a garden? Likely, but attack your children at play? Highly doubtful. Yall got this guy thinking they are rabid hyenas or something. Yes Ive had injured hogs attempt to do me harm but find ONE story where a child was attacked in suburbia. Or even just walking around in the woods. Hogs want to GTH away from any human way before they "attack". if they have a bullet in them and you walk up and put your foot on their throat, expect to get hurt but damn I wouldn't do that with a deer either.

I was told it was the Central Alabama Sportsman's Club between Mt Olive and Brookside that brought them in. The guy I talked with hunted on the property behind them on the Greyrock property. He said they are overrun with hogs over there. There's alot of farming up in that area. Those farmers sure aren't gonna like them around here.

WHAT?!!! Well my best friends brother knew a guy whos mom dated a fella that had a cousin whose neighbor knew a woman whose son was in jail with a guy who dated another guys daughter whose youngest son was almost attacked by some wild Pit Pigs one night. Said they chewed through a 2x6 fence to get to him. Luckily Grandma was still up dranking and rolling bones and shot them with her trusty .22 short starters pistol. Just sayin....it could happen!!

there were hogs running those river bottoms long before Phillip Smith has been hunting them.
Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!
