Ok guys needing and wanting some feedback. Our club has had some issues with club power. No major problems but we are wanting to maybe change it up. Right know we have one meter and everyone is wired into one big box. We pay a set amount up front and then collect at the end the amount that we have gone over. We do have some turnover each year and when someone gets out we don't always get money from them if we've gone over. They are wanting someone to take the power over and I don't mind but I have some ideas that I would like to see take place if I'm going to do it. Wanting to hear how some of you handle power for multiple campers. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome as I just want what is best for the club in the long run.

We collected up-front what we expected 150% to be. Easier to refund that extra or use it for other camp items than to collect a shortage once the season has passed.

Do some folks leave power on 24/7 during season and some not? If so instead of everyone paying overage why dont you give the option of leave power on 24/7 and split overage with like folks and the folks who dont mind shutting everything down while they are not there does not have to chip in for the overage. Probable wouldnt work but just a thought.

We used the average per camper from the previous year's bill and charged anyone wanting to have a camper that fee for the year. Then adjust it again the following year if needed.

Thanks guys for the input so far! Walt4dun this is what I was wanting but didn't know how many others were doing this and what happens if they get out. Do you have the next person pay a fee to use that meter or just let them pay to have it changed over.

Collect estimated usage at the beginning of every month. Can't hunt until you pay for the current month. Then if there is turnover in members and an overage it will only be for one month and you just split that up among the members since it won't be much.
