I love mine. Pay all my bills with it and use the points to accumulate gear. Easy way to justify new "purchases" with the wife. I keep mine paid off though so don't have to worry about the interest rate.

I have used it for years. I pay it off every month also. Never had any problem with the service. The points accumulate and occasionally I spend them. I am thinking of switching to a cash back card though.

Had one when I was traveling and had to purchase things for work and got reimbursed.
Paid it off every month and used the points for myself.

We have one and they have great customer service. They caught some charges that were suspect and called immediately. Sure enough, someone had gotten the number and had used it on a double handful of transactions. They sent a paper for us to fill out about what was our actual purchases and what wasn't and they took care of the rest. They stay on top of things for sure.

DEADorALIVE uses it for as much as he can. Heck, he even uses it at BassPro sometimes.

I have one and use it for almost every purchase I make. They definately keep a watch on your purchases in case of fraud. Love the points for free gear.

Got one too. Just make everyday purchases and pay it off. Points add up

What percent do you get back on purchases? It must be higher than a cash back card or else why would you want one?

What if you only wanted to use it for Christmas purchases ? Wife and I swore off credit cards many years ago, (young and stupid). If you use it only at Christmas, spend only what you intended, then pay it off, you still get the special shipping and pricing options. Do they penalize you for not using it all year or for a specific time period ?

If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

Sounds like the points for merchandise is a good deal after all. Thanks for all the input!

Have had one for years. Like that they send you a summary at the end of the year on your purchases. Key to credit cards, if you use them, is to pay them off each month.

I would say if you need a card to get an Amazon rewards visa. You accumulate money to spend on Amazon, which has anything in the world you are looking for, and offers free shipping for orders over $35. Use responsibly though.

I'm not shopping for a credit card. I was wondering if the points system Cabela's has was worth while. Typically I do not use a credit card but I might if the points earned accumulated quickly enough to justify using it. Wondering if there are limitations or hidden fees, etc.
It sounds like a good card without a 'catch' based on what those here, and others, have told me.

Spend $10,000 to get $100 to spend only at Cabelas. Can get a few more points shopping at certain places.

Happy Birthday 40Bucks. As an owner of a small business I hate those reward cards because I pay for those points. With that said, I don't blame folks for using them with the big retailers but keep that in mind when you pull it out at a local small business, It cost them more and they know it.
