About 10 months. Squirrel was already up in the tree so,she never saw it (alive). Probably should not have shot it without her treeing it, but had been walking for 4 hours and said the heck with it.

Yep I've been there and done that. I'd try and refrain from that in the future though, haha. I wouldn't hunt a young dog for 4 hours either. More short trips are better than longer ones. Good luck with her!!
