Well the work is done in the woods. Been out all morning and it's been hot. But, got everyrhing cleaned up and complete. Ready to go gig one october 25th.

Just got back from corp land lot of deer sign, lot of hog sign, and yes headhunter it was hot today. Anybody want to go let me know, we'll get it lined up

I got yA. Yea that's about 3.5 hours from me. If it wasn't so far for a day's drive I'd come up next weekend and hunt with ya. But, I will be getting back with you on it before seasons out.

Tomorrow's the big day - who's going? I'm stuck on nights, but will hopefully get in the woods Thursday morning. Got a big old nanny on the hit list for bow season.

Well, unfortunately I'm gonna have to wait till the 25th. But, for y'all going early good luck and let's get some points.
As far as safety goes that should be the #1 priority for everybody. So stay safe guys and have a good hunt. I'll be surfing the forum all day tomorrow reading the LFTT and looking at the pics as they come in.

Not sure if I'm going or not yet. Prolly going to wait til Saturday.

I missed a decent 6 point in the national forest yesterday evening or we would be on the board. He, and 3 other small bucks came in on me. Saw 2 does this morning. Going in the morning then its take a nap and head into work all weekend

They ran about 50 yards and stood there looking around before they wondered on off, whole time I'm trying to use mind power to bring one of them back in and calling myself a putz for using the wrong pin. Just another reminder of why its called hunting and not killing. Good thing is the morning brings a new day.

First morning up...finally. Someone beat me to first spot, so went to backup spot I found last year. No sign there, so kept walking. Finally found a little sign under 1 white oak that's dropping in a thicket. Finally in tree at 8:15. Can't see but 10 steps, but maybe I'll get lucky if one wants a late breakfast.

That sucks scrubbuck. Hopefully that thicket will produce a monster. Sit tight and shoot straight.

Good luck to y'all out in the woods this weekend! I'm in on night shift all weekend, team meeting Monday afternoon, son's champ football game Tues, and back in working nights Wed/Thurs. Looks like I won't make it back out until next Friday.

I'm still all jacked up from yesterday. I wound up getting winded 6 times in different directions. Last time was around 10:45. They were coming up the trail I was on maybe 50yrds from my stand. Got a hot little funnel/pinch point from hardwoods loaded with acorns into thin pines they bed in. Yesterday has me second guessing my setup. I pulled all my stuff out and gonna rethink how I need to hunt with the winds the way they swirl there.
